Magnetorheological dampers are activated in semi-active animal prosthetic legs. Much like those acclimated in aggressive and bartering helicopters, a damper in the prosthetic leg decreases the shock delivered to the patients leg if jumping, for example. This after-effects in an added advancement and activity for the patient.
